Yea – a marker – I have found the track! Pretty overgrown – but it is a track! Finally – at Lake Poteriteri! Beautiful Lake Poteriteri Lake Poteriteri Hut! YEA! Hammock and tarp set up outside Poteriteri hut. I have NEVER seen so many mosquitoes at night – good thing I had my bug net! Helicopter from heaven! Helicopter ride – Yea! That’s the ridge I would have been bush bashing across! Much nicer looking at it from the air! Looking at the coast from the helicopter Rope to hold on to to cross the Grant Burn Found the South Coast Track – whew! I guess I am still on the route to Westies! Rope going off the edge to get down to Westies Westies is tucked in a cave View from front of Westies Waitutu Hut – with my wet laundry and hammock New Zealand Robin – they are very friendly!
